| KARMAPA IN AMERICA '08 On Sunday May 18th His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, will offer two public teachings at the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Although just 22 years old, the Karmapa is seen as the embodiment of wisdom and compassion and is regarded by many followers as a "living Buddha." This is the Karmapa's first visit to the West.
